Coastal Mountaineering

exploring BC's coastlines and mountain ranges

The Central Coast & QCS

Paddling trips along BC’s remote Central Coast and in the Queen Charlotte Strait region, encompassing the Broughton’s and Johnstone Strait.

Lindsay at our Calvert Island Camp. July, 2017

The Central Coast stretches northwards from Queen Charlotte Sound to the coastal communities of Klemtu, Bella Bella, and Bella Coola. It involves stretches of open ocean and exposed coast near Cape Caution, as well as mazes of islands and secluded beaches along the Inside Passage in Fitz Hugh Sound. It is an absolutely amazing place to kayak.
