Coastal Mountaineering

exploring BC's coastlines and mountain ranges

Coast Mountains

Hiking, skiing, and mountaineering trips in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia.

The Coast Mountains are incredibly diverse, stretching from the vertical fjords and dense bush of the coast to sprawling icefields and and towering summits in the heart of the range. Make sure to check out scrambling and hiking trips in the steep forests of the North Shore Mountains and Fraser Valley; the broad glaciated peaks of the Sea to Sky area; and the high, alpine terrain in Pemberton and Beyond. Technically Vancouver Island lies in the Insular Mountains, but for simplicity we have included it in the Coast Mountains.
