Rugged Coast and Ancient Forest on Vancouver Island

A road trip we took in early 2016 to Vancouver Island while Anthony was dealing with an injured foot. We used this awesome map produced by the Ancient Forest Alliance to find some of the world’s largest trees near Port Renfrew.

We visited the San Juan Spruce, the Harris Creek Spruce, and the Red Creek Fir. We also visit Big Lonely Doug, Avatar Grove, and the magnificent Walbran Valley.
